Research and innovation

Research, teaching and innovation are closely interlinked in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology. The department focuses its research on the topics of automation technology, applied materials, nano- and microsystems, information and communication technology, and electrical energy systems. The fundamental goal of our research is the optimization of a complete system, starting from materials and components to hardware and software subsystems, and their integration into a higher-level technical system.
